So this weekend we stayed at an Aloft and a Westin, I checked in at the Westin on the phone, no problems there, but the special would not unlock, tried installing foursquare on my wives phone and that didn't work either, it would let us check in, but no special, and the aloft didn't even know what I was talking about, and the desk agent at the Westin also had no clue, she suggested I call SPG. I've got an upcoming stay next weekend at another Westin, and then one more at an Aloft over Memorial day, so far this isn't working...

Thanks for the tip on looking for the "Special" tag. At the Westin Pittsburgh, the 250 pt special is actually attached to the hotel fitness center (it offers membership) rather than the hotel itself.
