I need to top off my Delta and Continental accounts. Is there a minimum number of miles to be transferred? Can they be in any amount or do they have to be in set amounts; i.e. 1000 points? Is there a fee for transferring?
How long do the transfers typically take? Finally, how does the 20,000 points with 5,000 bonus work when transferring to Continental with 1:2 ratio? 12,500 miles?

2) Any amount over the minimum ok. Maximum of 79,999 per 24 hour period.
3) The transfers, in my experience, seem to get swept in on Sunday or Monday mornings. If you wait until Friday, you are at risk of not having it transfer until the next weekend, at least in my experience. YMMV.
4) For every 20k in starpoints you transfer, SPG gives you a bonus 5,000. So, yes, if you transfer 20k to Continental, you'll get 25k starpoints, which then converts to 12.5k. At least, that's my understanding. I've never done it. Transfers have to be increments of 20k to get the 1.25:1 bonus. So, if you transfer 20k, you get 25k starpoints. If you transfer 30k, you get 35k. If you transfer 40, you get 50k, etc. Since the limit for a 24 hour period is 79,999, it rarely makes sense to transfer more than 60k in any 24 hour period unless you have to. For example, if you want to transfer 100k, you're best off doing 60k on day 1 and 40k on day 2.

Inquiry Showing
applied yesterday ; received 14 day make you sweat a bit notice ; received email from my credit monitor service showing an inquiry has been made on your account from AMEX.
Hopefully this is a sign I will get this card insha'allah!
btw; is there a number to call for a status similar to Chase thats automated?

I just canceled this card last October. If I re-applied would I get the 30000 point bonus or is this offer for first time card members only?

just turned town for Delta Business Amex, should we go for this?
My husband was just turned down for Delta business amex, no reason other than not enough business experience (been talking to them). Should he apply for this (personal card)? Good scores, debt to available credit less than 10%, etc. etc. Just wondering if it would be too soon.

What did he list as business income?

Thanks for the response. Good questions, I should have mentioned more facts in my post. Just is 1.5-2 months back. I think I may have bungled up the application (this being our first business app). When reviewing the rejection with AMEX, they tell me I listed revenue as $25k (business revenue/income - I should have left it blank?) and they also told me nothing was listed in annual income. I then faxed them tax returns from two years to show annual household income (six figures - not from business but Wages etc.) but still got a rejection.
So, in an attempt to not mess up the next business application, what should I list as business income? Also, should I list a different number as household income?
Thanks a bunch!

At 1 year renewal what are the odds of having them waive the $45 annual fee?
