I think I know where there's a $65 4 Points. Norwalk CT. Hmmm. Mattress run.

I guess two Hyatt stays are still cheaper than three Starwood stays

Does the "economy coming back" not impact Hyatt?

I like this promotion for the longer redemption period, though overall it is clearly inferior to Hyatt's promotion.

Thanks to SPG for this promotion!!!^
Did you honestly expect anything less? Rather than simply quietly voting with our wallets, the correct way to effect change in a market economy, FTers prefer to vote with their posts and somehow believe it will create impactful change.

I kinda have a problem with a point no one mentioned. While I understand the no gifting policy, why does that include members of the same household?

Let's say I have 3 stays under my name with my wife. Why shouldn't she be able to use the free night for herself? Unlike an airline, you get points/status per room and not per person. This unfairly punishes as spouse. Further, it goes against the long help SPG policy of being able to transfer points within a household. Very poor and quite honestly, I find it pointless.

With gas and taxes, I hope you are planning to use the free night at a $250 plus property!

Not a very impressive promo.

In Hyatt's case, a member also has the option of 5,000 bonus pts in the current promo if the free nights is not something they desire. Wish SPG had offered a point alternative.

PLEASE

This is absurd to even complain about. I Fyou want her to use the Free wekend then use her number. Is ther a Points program that lets more than one person ge the benefit of the stay.

Comparing SPG and Hyatt in Chicago area where's saturation of both, I am yet to see how SPG undercuts Hyatt's superiority where you can find weekend nights around 50$ a night, use costco gift certificates to obtain 20% discount and find very nice properties to go for weekend or not with no capacity control. Oh, did I mention a 79$ Hyatt Chicago rate if you don't want to run to the burbs?

Just an observation. Still thanks for the announcement.

The FWN award works this way: You can make use of the award as a gift for your family/friends. But you must be staying as well and it has to be under your name. Similarly, you can book 2 rooms with 2 awards but both must be under your name and you have to stay in one of them.

This promo means nothing to me, but promo terms need only to work, they don't need to be the "best". The economy is better and the promos less rich. Be happy, we'll all make more money to spend on hotels!
