swapping asiamiles for krisflyer miles - help!!
hi there
i desperately want to swap or convert my asia miles for krisflyer miles. i have about 400 000 asiamiles (cathay pacific) but do not need them any more. i need krisflyer (singapore airlines) miles. please let me know of any middleman / swapping opportunities? many thanks :) |
This should be posted in Coupon connection (On flyertalk), but you need more posts and more time on the forum before you'd be able to offer this swap.
Alternatively you could look at points.com |

Bear in mind that changing one programme to another will be massive devaluation in miles when using points.com. For one thing, Krisflyer is not possible as its not part of points.com. But if you want to use a star alliance member, you can swap your miles into Aeroplan which is Air Canada's porgramme. But get this, your 400,000 very hard earned asiamiles points when converted over to aeroplan will earn you only 80,000 aeroplan miles! Are you sure you want to do that? There are many destinations which you may fly to with asiamiles' partners as you can with Krisflyer. So unless its for a really good reason, I would not switch. Just so you know also that since you're new to this board, that it is forbidden for you to even suggest swapping / exchanging miles with anyone here unless you go to the 'Coupon Connection' forum. But to even see that forum, you need to have at least 100 posts on Flyertalk. This is so that we know that you are a regular contributor to this forum rather than just come here to 'trade'. |
Where does SQ fly their new cabins to where OW doesn't fly?

For a roundtrip from Australia to London on say, Cathay Pacific's new First Class cabins, plus return on either QF or BA's new First Class seats, one needs only 260K miles. Okay, its still a lot when compared to other FFPs. eg AA needs only 160K miles. For similar award on Singapore Airlines' offerings on their 77W aircrafts, (no Suite Class suites available), one might be looking at cashing out 1.558 million miles! |

We don't know what susiechow wants yet and why she is doing it. But at least one may fly on CX's new First class sabins without having to fork over some ridiculous amounts of miles.

Everything else can be booked more efficiently using other *A miles or just stay with OW. |

Hence my question. The only reason why I would want SQ miles is because I need to book something which can only be booked by them. And this might be SQ premium cabins or maybe the odd Silk Air Flight.
