Which is Best Economy - UA, Singapore, Asiana?
Hellow All -
I need to go to Seoul in early March. Unfortunately, Biz class tickets are very high, so I'll be flying coach (and I have plenty of regional upgrades, but no SWUs ... ). Are there any differences in the economy seats/service between UA Economy Plus, Asiana, and Singapore? (From Singapore's site, it looks like their economy is similar to Econ. Plus, but hard to tell...)
Thanks in advance
Ira

SQ has much better food and service. And you could have leg rest in the Economy, although the seats are narrower than E+ on UA. However, you won't get status-based bonus miles if you're premier and above on UA. Without considering the miles, I'd choose SQ.

According to seatguru, SQ regular economy (not executive economy) is 32" pitch...UA is 34" on 747 and 34-36" on the 777.
I would not look forward to flying TPAC in a seat with 32" pitch. Add in the mileage factor and I'd go with UA.

SQ on SFO-ICN will be on the 777-300ER which has the latest generation Economy product.
IFE, meal, service and seat quality will all be much better on SQ. The only remaining issue is seat pitch.
Undeniably, UA Y+ is very attractive. But don't let the 32" pitch on SQ scare you - the seat features a slimline design which means that you get decent legroom (And much more than what you would expect for 32")
Unless you're particularly tall, I would go with SQ.

UA is only better if you want the + miles.
SQ has better service, food and the foot rest in Econ is great.
