SAA fare code help !
 

Hi,

I have a problem looking up fare rules for a specific fare code on SAA.
(I know this is not the most adequate forum, but as there is no SAA specific forum I rather post it here).

Could someone help me with the SAA fare basis DNCDE (leaving in about two weeks from MUC-JNB-CPT.

I need to make some changes/ possible cancellations and neither KVS nor EF show the fare basis and my TA is telling me "stories", that#s why I would like to check myself.

So any help would be highly appreciated.

Altough I do not EXACTLY know the DNCDE fare basis, this appears to be a "D" fare bucket, which is the most discounted (and therefore most restricted) business class fare.
The general fare rules for "D" are:

Fare Business Class D
Combinable with any other fare class.
Tickets must be paid for 72 hours after confirmation.
25% Cancellation fee applicable.
Rebooking fee of ZAR1500.00 or USD175.00 applicable subject to applicable booking class available.
If applicable booking class is not available, upgrade to next higher fare as well as rebooking fee applicable.
No Name changes allowed after ticketing.
Pre-seating Allowed.
Re-routing not permitted.
ZAR285.00 or equivalent currency Refund Administration charge applicable

(ZAR is South African Rand, about 9.6 Rand to a USD at the moment).

Actually the cancel fee is 300,- EUR - as I thought it was.
TA was actually orbitz.com, stating "non-refundable" (multiple times). :mad:
Had a great customer experience with SAA in Germany - much more than forthcoming. ^
It was only owed to them that I had it in writing and suddenly orbitz.com said "sure they are refundable". :eek:
So beware and always have a copy of the fare rules available.
