SIN/DXB is really that bad?

[QUOTE=stargold;10149646](snip) I would really suggest you fly longer-haul flights in the good-quality Star carriers and also avoid some well-known "nightmare" routes such as SIN-DXB (one of the longest flights in the Regional product).(snip)

I'm also planning on flying SIN/DXB on SQ as part of my dream F RTW contest prize - what is bad about it (I was planning on the redeye)?

SIN/DXB using the regional F configuration gives you a US domestic-type F seat that is far below the offerings of a SkySuite. Service is top-notch, though.

What do you think?

28.678 miles in total and SQ/NH/LX/OZ/TG including A380 and FCT.

i would definitely not PAY for F and then start off with flying C, even if its on the 380. the LX segment is on a 330 which has the "old" F seat, not bad but very it looks very worn.

I just noticed that Expertflyer lists a 24 day advance purchase requirement on FRWSTAR ex-CGK, is this really correct?

it means 24 hrs, not 24 days! i got confused the first time i saw it too, but a quick look into the fare rules clarified... ;)
