US F vs. UA Y vs. AC Y (for w/in North America)

Just looking for some quick advice...This is for a transcon red-eye...never been in US F, nor AC Y that had the AVOD.

I'm leaning toward AC Y, since it doesn't seem like it would be that much better or worse than US F. I'm nearly inclined to just take UA Y over US F, even.

Does anyone else have any thoughts?

Not sure the transcon route, however, having flown all three i would take US F over AC or UA Y as a no brainer. The US flights i have been on the interiors were beat up, but the FAs were all fine. Assuming narrowbody products, I would take AC J over either.

I guess the transcon is really more of a mid-con: RNO-PHX-ORD vs. RNO-SFO-IAD or RNO-SFO-YUL, and the choice was between saver F and standard Y (the AC Y leg would have been SFO-YUL in Y, since C was not available).

Yeah, AC J would be a no-brainer...if it were an option. I ended up booking US F RNO-PHX-ORD and then UA F ORD-YOW and AC J to YHZ. On the return it's just UA YHZ-ORD then US ORD-LAS, and I guess I'll book WN back up to RNO.

Been a little while since I flew a US F redeye, but you don't get much in the way of service and if the guy in front of you reclines, you can feel trapped if you're in the window seat. I would even prefer UA E+ over US F on a redeye.
