Where to find info on Star Alliance Circle Asia Fares

There seems to be plenty of info in the Sticky's etc on RTW fares and routings but I am looking into putting together a Circle Aisa routing and I am finding it very hard to find any information other than the official Star alliance website.

In particular I am looking for good pricing options to start the trip. I am based in SIN but travel a lot regionally. I called up the United office here and it was catch 22, the rate desk wanted me to book an itinerary before they would price it, but I dont want to put a lot of time and effort stringing together a routing for something that will be too expensive and which I am not interested in pursuing anyway... and eventually I was somewhat reluctantly given the following fares

15K S$3340 + taxes
18K S$3810 + taxes

15K S$6600 + taxes
18K S$7670 + taxes

On the face of it not that attractive and I could probably do as well just by ferreting out "point to point" deals to the places I want to go.

Firstly is the reason there is not much info and discussion on these tickets as they are not popular (too expensive)..?

Secondly does anybody have experience starting these routes ex-jakarta and does that make them cheaper.?

Feedback from anybody that has bought or looked into these tickets appreciated. Thanks.!

Any *A Circle Asia / Pacific / World itinerary can be priced by making a dummy booking on the *A web site tool. When you select the print option, the prcie appears. That way you'll get the Jakarta price.
