AC's seat, though a newer version than that which Virgin and Air NZ use, is actually inferior as far as seat space (it's narrower) and comfort are concerned, though it does have the advantage of being able to recline right down to flat so you don't have to get up and flip it over.

NH sounds like the best option to me, with AC the #2 choice. TG are so patchy they are best avoided - I've had some embarrassingly awful experiences with them lately, though they can be extremely good.

What I don't understand is how you plan to do this under $7.5k? NH has a Z fare, but good luck with that. Otherwise, the only thing close to $7.5k all-in is an SQ J fare. Good luck with that, too.

Or are you planning to do a CCP?

And if that's the case, it changes things, because you'll be flying ex-SFO, instead of ex-JFK, and can hop SQ's new C, and still be within budget, even with the surcharge.

Yes, exactly - I am looking at either a regular J fare, SFO, ICN (break) PVG - SIN - JFK, which prices at about US$6k or I'm waiting to see if it will validate as a RTW on SW in F at around 7.5.

What is a CCP? Isn't that the former name for Russia

Don't forget that on the SQ-only RTW (which I assume is what you mean, because it's the only RTW I know of for even close to $7.5k in F), you need to add on an SFO-JFK segment, which will cost you over $1k.
