which Frankfurt lounge? flying LH business but also Star Alliance Gold

Can someone please tell me the best lounge to use in Frankfurt? I'm mostly interested in somewhere I can shower and get some food. I'm flying through frankfurt to India on Lufthansa in business class and I also have a star alliance gold card and a Diner's club card.

Which is the best lounge ?

thanks for your help.

First, 1K High Tech Flyer, welcome to FT!

The LH Senator lounges, available to you as either *G or in business class (but you must have your *G card for most), are much better than the RCC. They have decent food, newspapers, a few computers, and drinks. They also have showers, but you may have to wait a while (always leave a tip for the women who clean the showers, about one $ or Euro).

Have a great trip.

Senator Lounge is better than the Business Lounge. LH rules in terms of honoring *G status!

Definitely agree - Senator is better than Business lounge. Very important to bring your *G card, you won't be able to get in without it.

Both lounges are typically quite busy, both have showers, get on the wait list as soon as you get there. The RCC has showers as well. However, it is located by the "C" gates, which is quite a walk from the LH gates, and you'll have to go through security

...and both have LH matrons who can be quite nasty at times, in my experience.

And bouncers out side the door who scrutinize your card before you even put your feet in the lounge and who apply the rule by the book.
So as was mentioned above your need to bring your Gold card if you need to use the Senator lounges.

Though I found the shower room attendants more friendly than the rest of them...

Even so I agree with everyone here, sometimes the SEN lounges gets so crowded it makes sense to move to the business lounge instead for space and comfort.

1K High Tech Flyer, if you have a chance, I would do almost anything possible to upgrade to F on your flight to India. Then you can access LH First Class Terminal, a truly remarkable place including private Limo service from the lounge to the plane.
