*A FF Program Recommendations

Well it's been a while since I posted here, and seems like even longer since I did any real amount of flying :(

Anyway - I'm in the market for a new FF Program, and was after some recomendations.

Although currently located in SYD - in 31 days I'll be relocating to TRD.

I'll be flying SQ to CPH & then SK to TRD (not yet sure if I'll take the WF codeshare, or fly via OSL).

Now looking at my intended flying patterns for the next 12 months, I highly doubt I'll get anywhere near any status levels this year, and not yet sure about next year - despite having one trip back to SYD planned, (plan to do a norway-aus-norway trip every year - mostly flying SQ or TG long haul (in Y) and doing shorter trips on SK (in either Y or Y+) --- pity about the no mileage inside Norway rule :( )

With this in mind, at this stage, I'm mostly looking for somewhere to bank miles, (for upgrades more than award tix) although should the oportunity arise *G status would be nice.

I anticipate that the best program for me would allow me to earn status miles on any *A metal, and participates in the *A wide upgrade award programs (or will by mid-2008).

Having read through the various forums, and websites of the various programs I'm looking at the following programs - SAS EB, BMI DC, and TG ROP.

Any recommendations for those or is there a better *A program for my needs.

Thanks for any help

Have you considered Asiana's Club program? Once you reach 100K miles (no time limit to do so) you get *A Gold status, which is valid for three(!) years. To requalify, you need 40K in these three years (combined, not per year). They do participate in the *A Upgrade scheme and unlike TG ROP, miles do not expire.

If you are wanting mainly upgrades then best to credit to the program of the airline you fly the most. Normally more methods to upgrade, and often at lower cost/less restrictive than upgrading across the *A.
