RTW change ?

Does a change of the connecting airport warrant a $150 change fee. If there is better seating flying SFO-IAD-GRU than the booked SFO-ORD-GRU, would your expect to pay a change fee for moving to the different connecting airport on a standby basis day of flight?

Thanks.

Unless you get an agent who doesn't know to charge it, yes, that would be a re-routing and it would warrant the fee for reissue.

A minor detail but I think the change fee is $125

Aren't there certain airports that count as one city with *A?
EWR/JFK/LGA comes to my mind?

Changing SFO-ORD-GRU to SFO-IAD-GRU could cost as much as $2000. Not only do you pay the $125 reissue fee, but you could also bump yourself up to the next level of RWSTAR fare, as it's about 90 miles or so longer to travel via IAD than via ORD.

Several are listed in the xRWSTARx rules, including some new ones in the July 1 latest version.
