Valid *A RTW routing?

Just wondering if the following is valid RTW routing:
SYD-BKK-LHR*-JFK*-LAX*-BKK*-SYD

I would be stopping in each location with a *. Thanks

Yes valid for a xRWSTARx. Plenty of other flights you could add to this simple routing.

According to great circle mapper this is 29,477 miles thus requiring xRWSTAR2. Thus you have 4,500 odd miles free on this level. The only easy way to get under 29,000 miles for a cheaper fare is to have the return from US direct to Australia or via AKL, or starting with PER-BKK.

Or, if the stop in BKK could come at the beginning instead of at the end

SYD-BKK-LHR-JFK-LAX-tpe-sin-ADL

comes to 28 692 on the GCM.

cheers,

Henry

Check this fare too.

Also cheaper if you could switch LHR earlier and visit BKK only once eg SYD-LAX-JFK-LHR-BKK-SYD

The OP will need some of those to fly LHR-x/yyy-NYC as there is no longer any Star carrier operating nonstop between London (any airport) and New York (any airport). UA "sold" their NYC-LON authority to Delta mid last year from memory.
