UA segments on C RTW
Hi guys,
flying on a C-Class RTW tix issued by LH with some segments in the US. The three domestic US flight segments are booked as follows: LAX-PHX in M-Class (okay its a CRJ so only 1-class a/c) PHX-LAX in M-Class (okay its a CRJ so only 1-class a/c) and LAX-JFK (UA22) in M-Class  (this is a PS flight on a 3-class 757) Now am I missing something here or is this booking into "M-Class" rubbish? This would mean a seat in the Y cabin and not in Biz as it should be. I was expecting to see either a C or D booking class for that flight. Any thoughts? Thanks. Cheers .... |

I guess your TA screwed up. If you have a paper ticket make sure your also get the flight coupons for any flights which are on a waiting list after ticketing.
It has happened to me that I was booked into Y and waitlisted on A on UA. The waiting list cleared but I only had the coupon for the Y flight in my ticket. Ended up flying in Y... |

My guess is there was no D availability on your flight. Best to chose another flight with D availability, or failing that have an open segment. Then waitlist for the flight you really want (needs to be same routing to avoid reissue fee).

Basic Question
I have never purchased a RTW ticket before, and I have a basic question for C class RTW on UA.
Many UA flights within North America are operated with just 2 cabins, F and Y. Will I be issued a ticket in Y on these flights :( ? Thanks. |

Thanks everyone for the tips. I got the situation sorted. LH's RTW ticket desk just plainly "screwed up" on that one. They weren't aware of the fact that it was a 3-class a/c and probably still in the "1-class zone" from booking LAX-PHX-LAX on that CRJ a/c.
Whatever is all I can say. Just re-confirms that one really has to check every little detail. Now everything sorted and availability was no issue either. Thanks guys. Cheers .... |

For travel within Continental USA/CANADA via UA where no Business Class seat is available, Business Class fare paying passenger may travel on First class seat. Unfortunately HNL/OGG is not in Continental USA :( |
