Missing a connection

I'm on a *A RTW, UA issued, which has me routing IAD-MUC (UA) with a 35 minute connection (apparently legal)to make a VIE connection (Lufthansa operated by Austrian). Will I have to collect bags in MUC or will they interline thru to VIE? I'm worried about missing this connection, if I do who do I see UA, LH or Austrian?

TIA

Munich is a very efficient airport. As long as your incoming flight is on time, you will make the connection. Your bags will be checked through to Vienna when you check in with United at IAD.

If you miss your connection, go to the OS (or LH if you don't see OS) transfer desk in Munich.

I have connected at MUC between a US flight and an intra-European flight with only a 35 min connection.
I made it, my checked bag made it.

The new *A terminal 2 at MUC is very efficient.

i was on a RTW connecting in MUC (from LON to HKK, i think). i orginally had 1 1/2 hour connection but due to late departure from LON that was pared down to 40 minutes. I ran to flight and was sure check-in bag wouldn't have made it. But I made it and so did the bag. Try getting that in PHL. Never.

Should be pretty easy. Though, sometimes immigration could take longer depending upon arrival timings. But you should be able to make it in Munich. Sometimes, the Austrian Arrows flights depart from a remote bus gate, in which case, i guess they'll know to wait for connecting passengers.

I wouldn't have said the same thing about FRA, where u have to trek a few KMs from US arrivals to intra-european flights.
