Routing Question
If I'm on a *A RTW ticket can I fly the following:
SFO-SIN (SQ1) SIN-HKG HKG-SIN I assume I'll have to issue ticket as one segment for SFO-SIN for this to work? |

On a standard *A RTW you can stopover (more than 24 hours) only once in each city and transit no more than 3 times (including any stopovers). If this is the case then its fine, with SFO-SIN or ticketed as SFO-HKG-SIN. In many circumstances however, it is advantageous to ticket through flights as a single coupon ie SFO-SIN.

Yes, I'll only be stopping for more than 24 hours in SIN once.
So I can actually ticket: SFO-HKG (connection) HKG-SIN (stop over) SIN-HKG (stop over) HKG-SIN (connection) SIN-xxx Is that correct? I can do HKG-SIN twice or in theory any route twice? |
Yes. Some airlines have issue with same route twice but it is in the rules.
As mentioned before SFO-SIN is preferable in some circumstances (eg uses up only 1 of the 24 coupons and less mileage towards the limit). |

But it will not optimize your PPS sector count if you are into that ;) If you are into that and make split segments - you might need to make the connecting leg on SQ 1 from HKG to SIN as an open booking - because SQ will otherwise make one segment of it. Just book your seat in a seperate booking in the correct class to ensure your seat on the contimued flight. Cheers Thomas |

The ways SQ works - bin there - done that - and that numerous times (BTW only once on SQ 1 though) :) works fine.
