Just a quick follow-up q to those who helped out.

I'm now thinking of adding a stopover in either FRA or MUC in between CAI-SVO. I thought that there was some rule about going in one direction. Will stopping in Germany before going to SVO, and then going back west with the rest of my itin afterwards cause any problems?

No backtracking rules per se for :-: - maybe you are thinking about oneworld.
Can't backtrack across Atlantic or Pacific or between areas IATA2 & IATA3 but that's about it really. Apart from the other rules like city transfers, max stops in a country etc that may affect a potential backtrack plan.
