Miles posting on wrong airline

I am currently on a CRTWSTAR1 and SK posted the first two flights (SQ flights) on my Eurobonus card instead of the Krisflyer number I gave them (and they repeated on the phone - its even in my Eurobonus profile).

I should have doublechecked but I missed it.

So now I am silver on both programmes with 18k miles remaining for *Gold on Krisflyer and 21k miles on Eurobonus. I have about 17.600 miles remaining on my RTW.

Can they change the miles after posting?

Chances are really slim to none. This involves financial reversal which would be too complicated and not operational.

Yes, I have done it from UA to SAS. You need to discuss it with both airlines and don't take no for an answer. SAS has to first remove it from your account and then you send documentation to SQ (BP stubs and ticket receipt) who will then check with SAS to make sure that you are not double dipping.

On the other hand I tried to do it for US to UA. In the end it didn't matter so I didn't pursue it further. They were giving me a hard time about it but it did involve 20-30 flights.

What does it say on your boarding pass re FF program?

I have done it as well - took 2 months and a few phone calls, letters and emails.

My miles posted to AC. Several letters to AC finally got them to remove the mileage from my account. Then I took my statement showing the mileage reversal and sent that with my BP to LH and the miles were credited.

It was the angels at LH that told me how to go about it.

Be persistent.

Same thing happened this year, but as it was only for about 6K, didn't worry about it. The above AC example was for a C flight that with bonuses would be 48K on LH, not a small sum at all.

I have sorted it out with SAS now. They had my Krisflyer account on the original booking but somehow exchanged it for my Eurobonus. They have offered me to fix the mess later if I keep the boarding cards.

In the end it will all be good though: I get twice the points (200% points in C) on Eurobonus and this trip alone will make me * Gold. I will also get about 20-22 sectors for PPS with 11 months to get the last sectors. Getting Krisflyger PPS will give me Krisflyer Gold also - so in the end I will have * Gold on both SK and SQ.
