Ua*b ??
Here's a new one. I got UA*B on my SAS boarding pass for UA domestic flight. I didn't care because it was an award ticket.
I flew LH on the outbound and they had the correct UA*G, etc. B=Basic ?? |
I had the same on my boardingpass a few weeks ago. A ticket using Mileage Plus, operated by OS and UA*B on the boarding pass.

I suspect the *B is for "Bronze" a.k.a. no status.. or rather no *known* status (to their computer). Given it was an award ticket (in both cases, if I read correctly) this, in some sense, might make sense (although I've had *G printed on SQ award tickets with UA miles, so go figure).
This could also be a hint as to the rollout of Star wide upgrades and other benefits... ie even no status must be coded as something for the purpose of waitlisting, priority etc. Just a thought. |
I got SK *B on a boarding pass for an OS flight.
I guess it either doesn't understand which status it actually is or there is something wrong with the printer. |
