Miles Avianca/Taca?
 

Hi all,

If I fly on an Avianca flight, operated by Taca, will I be able to post my miles on another Star Alliance member?

This must be some kind of a stupid question, as there are a lot of views, but no replies. And Flyertalk is always the best place to get the best information.

I was hoping to resolve that issue quickly, as I want to reserve a flight asap, but not that particularly nice fare if I can't get any miles for it.

TACA is now part of avianca. All TACA flights are considered avianca (as are LACSA, AeroGal, Aviateca, etc.) flights and only use AV flight numbers.

And yes; flights on Avianca/TACA can be credited to other Star Alliance accounts. If you cannot enter your account before check in, you will have the opportunity to do so when you check in online or in person.
