Transfer status
 

Hey all,
quick question for the community. I know it is a long shot but worth trying.
I successfully renewed my SA gold membership withTAP.I am reaching out to explore the possibility of transferring my Star Alliance Gold status from TAP to Miles and More. I recently moved to Switzerland and Miles and more would make it easier for me to maintain status Due to the restriction from TAP on some class fares.

does any of you have experience or know if transferring status is possible?

AFAIK, it's not possible to transfer status within any allliance and equally, LH do not comp status from other alliances so I doubt you can do this.

As Harper pointed out, you generally can't status match within an alliance.

LH is also super stingy with status matches, generally only does them under target promotions (IIRC the last one was aimed at MilleMiglia members some time ago).

You can use some of your TAP benefits while earning to M&M (e.g. lounge access), though others will be limited if your *G status is not on your boarding pass (e.g. extra bag, priority security).
