Question Best Star Gold Lounge Options EWR

YUL-EWR-TPA in Business on United. 2 Hours in EWR 7-9pm.Both passengers Star Gold via 75K on AC.
What lounge has the best food options these days, or should we just find a restaurant for dinner.
Open to suggestions

Thanks

Since you're flying United, you'll be transiting in Terminal C, and since you're travelling in J, you have access to their Polaris lounge, which also happens to be the only nice *A lounge at EWR. So it's a no-brainer, really.

Polaris lounge access is only provided for business passengers on a long haul flight; YUL does not qualify. The only United lounges they'll have access to are the United Clubs which are definitely a step down.

And I assume there is no real dinner options in the United Clubs in C?

It may be. There's an opening ceremony on May 12. See the thread in UA forum.

I visited the United Club lounge at Terminal C, upper level near Gate 74 yesterday (May 4). Food was turkey wraps, veggie sandwiches, brownies, cookies and a basic salad bar. There was a single bartender for the entire lounge. For a decent meal, eat elsewhere.
