Help on Luggage
Hi there,
I'm having some trouble with understanding what luggage I have included and the Senator Hotline at LH was not really helpful...
If I check the reservation codes on United at https://www.united.com/web/en-US/con...d-baggage.aspx I get:
Which one is correct? LH SEN hotline or UA website? :) Thanks! Maik |
For tickets originating or terminating in the US, US law requires that the baggage allowance of the marketing carrier of the first segment applies to all segments of the ticket.
Thus, in your case and presuming that LH is the marketing carrier, it is LH's rules, not UA's rules which apply to what I presume is OTP-OGG with connections between. |
They are actually 3 different bookings:
OTP-FRA-OTP with LH FRA-SFO-FRA with UA SFO-OGG and HNL-SFO with UA (booked as Award Booking through LH Miles & More) So it's safe to assume that except the OTP-FRA-OTP the luggage will be included? |

FRA-SFO (operated by UA) you get 2 bags, unless you booked the new "1st bag charge" fare, then you get 1 bag. (booking code does not matter) SFO-FRA (operated by LH) you get 2 bags if booked in Economy Classic, and 1 bag if booked in Economy Light. LH allows *G/SEN 1 bag on Intercontinental Light fares, unlike European Light fares. SFO-OGG / HNL-SFO you get 1 bag. |
