CAN contract lounge for *A airlines. Any experiences?
 
It looks like all Star Alliance Airlines use the same contracted "Premium Lounge" at CAN in T1.

Anyone here used it and care to share their feedback? I am keen to know how was the overall F&B quality and if it is often crowded in the evenings.

Have heard a lot of horror stories about lounges in China and want to know if this one is any better and worth going earlier to the airport to have dinner or better to risk cutting it fine and trying to have dinner in the city beforehand instead.

I was in it two years ago (or was it three?) around 8 pm. Although it was full, you could still find seats relatively easily. The food was simply decent but not exciting, especially after having been fed like a king for three days by my hosts. :)

I used the Airport Authority Lounge at CAN earlier this year. It was decent, but nothing special. There is a decent coffe bar with a variety of specials. The better food items are behind a glass display and are available upon request.
