Star alliance top 1000
 

Hello everyone, today i received at home a very interesting package , I was kinda surprised because it was very nice wrapped. When I opened it I saw inside a Thank you card which wrote Top1000 and a very nice handmade leather keychain engraved with Top 1000 on it.

Getting a key ring for such an achievement seems an insult to me.

Well, I just got an invite o join their online forum, and as a special treat, I get, once logged in, a pdf of describing travel experiences in a few countries (NZ, USA, Brazil, Germany, China, Canada...). Wow! What a nice present???!

Interestingly it seems that "membership" is for life, as I'm sure I wouldn't have requalified based on my actiivity since 2015 when I got my invite. I've been UA 1K since then, but wouldn't have made the minimum number of airlines constraint since then I don't think.

I also received this via United.

Not 100% certain what this is all about though. No keychain, no PDF. Nice card though.

Given for what? How do you qualify anyway? Flying only 1 member or they actually tracked the fact I patronized AC, LX and LH almost as much as United? Or because I hit them plus CA, OZ, NH and AI?

Top 1000 of what? All Star Alliance flyers? For a year? Top 1000 of United? I fly a lot, miles pile up, but 1000, really?

Anyway...
