Star Alliance Comparison Chart 2003
Well -- time to start all over again for 2004 (despite the title). We know a few things about Air Canada's top tiers and UA's upgrades but not much more. Please update me on any changes to the following chart as your packages come in.
Thanks: Just click on the link. I have posted the 2004 Star Alliance Gold comparison chart at: http://members.shaw.ca/deercroft/starall04.html For those who want the word processor version of the star alliance comparison chart, click on the link (Word XP-100K) at the page the link below takes you to and your word processor should open and then you can use your "Save As" to save it to one of your directories. Alternately you can right click on the link and it should ask you where you want to save the file to. http://members.shaw.ca/deercroft/download.html [This message has been edited by BlondeBomber (edited Dec 11, 2003).] |

Thank you.
Just a note. For this info: "Elite: ... Solitaire: PPS Club for 4 yr with 500K or 250 sectors on SQ/Silk Air " AFAIK the 4 years as Qualified PPS requirement has been dropped recently. As long as you have reached 500K and 250 sectors you are qualified as Solitaire. |
CGK is right, no more min 5 year PPS requirement for PPS Solitaire status.

Just noticed a couple of things.
NZ no longer earns airpoints on discounted econ flying TG. Clarification: NZ points expire on the 5th anniversary following earning - ie 4 to 5 years. |
Some points on the chart:
1) NZ: requalification only requires 90% of the prescribed status credits for Gold Elite, so instead of 300 status credits, requalification only requires 270 status credits in subsequent years. The same goes for Silver (90 instead of 100) and Gold (180 instead of 200). 2) RG: threshold bonuses based on tier status, ie 5,000 at reaching *S on RG, can be made up of miles (25K) OR segments [This message has been edited by kawoh (edited Jan 10, 2004).] |
Thanks for the updates

I have no status on any airline. I have 8125 UA miles & 1752 AC & no other *A memberships. I have just bought a J ticket for money BKK-HKT-SIN-BKK on TG for Jan 25/29/ Feb 01 for USD$600.
I have asked for UA miles. Are there any bonuses out there on other airlines of which I should take advantage instead?? ------------------ Play the travel game 3 vacations into the future! |
