Your title is misleading. I wish you can somehow change it.

As a travel agent you should know better !!

The Oneworld sudden fare increase was mainly due to BA's insistence as too many people were swamping the Cairo office with their demands to issue Oneworld RTW tickets.

But generally most RTW fares have fare twitches twice a year in May and Nov.

Star Alliance RTW fares have generally been quite stable. When Oneworld increased their fares in South Africa late 2002, Star Alliance fares held their fort with marginal fare increases and not the same time as Oneworld's too.

I think there might be some small increases but nothing as major as Oneworld's. Unless a Star Alliance partner complains bitterly of the major workload they had to endure because of demanding clients, I don't think we'd see much changes till May.

Last two world wide fare switches on RWSTAR fares: May 1st 2002 & April 15th 2003.

RWSTAR fares did not switch late 2002, however, ‘fare increases’ ex RSA reflected the strengthen of ZAR against most foreign currencies.

Well, the OS office in CAI certainly has not been swamped. They were in a state of panic because they had never issued one as of last July.
