NH or OZ in C?

(Or RG F)

Looks like OZ is suspending F service in Dec and Jan. Source: http://www.scandinavian.net/EC/Appl/Home/FrontDoor/0, 3479,SO%253DA916F8AD10C54912_BF6AFB61FFF3110C%2526 MKT%253DSE,00.html

I have a *A F award booked through UA with OZ segments. I am not happy about this change. Seeing as F looks impossible to get on any carrier, if I am to fly in C, what is the best way to go. Here are the considerations:

1) If I stay on OZ, it will be an F seat with C service

2) If I take the NH seats, it will be old C on a 777.

3) RG has F from NRT-LAX.

Well, UA opened up F space for me on the UA flight.

But it begs the question... am I better off flying is SQ C, but spending F miles?

Anyone know why OZ is doing this? Could they be upgrading the seats and service in F during that timeperiod and not want to sell true "F" tickets while in transition? I have never heard of anything like this before. Hmmmmmmm.....

Well, my trip is about to begin. Got what I think is the most out of this *A award! Booked it last May for 2 F seats. Here is the itin:

LAX-NRT (NH, F, 744, old config)
NRT-BKK (NH, C, 744, new config)
Destination

(side TG trip to Phuket)

BKK-PVG (TG C, 333)
Stopover

PVG-SFO (UA, F, 744)
SFO-LAX (UA, F, 733)
