somewhere in between.

* Great European newspaper selection (best I have found in any lounge in Europe)
* very nice beverage selection (self-service)
* breakfast: European style with first-class croissants, butter, jam, cheese.
* hot snacks for lunch (at the buffet, starting 11:30AM)
- great tarmac sight-seeing (big windows), very comfortable seats and tables, large and never crowded
* no own washrooms (wahshrooms are outside, some 20 metres away)
* no own Internet terminals
* limited TV : one in each part (left Senator/First-Class, right business class)
* I don't think they have any showers
* desk usually only occupied with one LH person, with little authority to help with tickets etc (she has to call check-in and/or ticketing personal outside)

The Diners accesible lounge in ZRH is great, free internet access, decent amenities, etc.

I was told there is an age limit to the * lounge - is that correct?

My family and I will be in ZRH and am wondering if I will have any problems with my kids (ages 7 & 8).

Thanks

I just left the ZRH StarAlliance (run by LH) lounge.

* No problem to access it with my Senator card and identity proof (I am flying swiss to CDG tonight).
* there have been children (I guess age 2 - 5) on the business-class side
* I finally did find out, where a shower is. Outside the lounge (one door away from the next public washrooms) is one door 'advertising' StarAlliance shower.

Here are a few recent photos I shot of the Star Alliance lounges in Zurich (both the Star Alliance lounge itself, and the Swiss lounge):

I am in the Swiss Lounge right now (actually the Senator side, I am in y but with UA * gold card she sent me over here). Checked out the Swiss Business side too. This lounge, both sides, is waaay better than the star alliance lounge (where I started my morning), which is small, stuffy, and no bathrooms, they are out in the hall! The Swiss Bar is actually pretty cool, even with the corny sign (longest lounge bar!).
