MAD - CDG not served by *A?

I was looking for a flight MAD-CDG and was expecting to find at least five JK flights a day, but I actually found 0? The only flights that showed up were SQ shuttle flights starting 21st June, but it seems SQ does not sell seats on those without int'l connection. Does anybody have a clue on this, I thought MAD-CDG must be an important route?!

I don't want to give Oneworld more business than I have to...

There is no non-stop *A operated flight MAD-CDG vv, as SQ has no traffic rights. If you would like to go on a *A carrier, shortest connection time is via FRA.

If you like a non-stop flight other then on OW, try SkyTeam.

Another alternative is Air Europa (UX) with two or four daily MAD-CDG flights.

They also fly to CDG from Alicante (Day 4, Day 7), Malaga (4,6), Palma de Mallorca (5,7) and Valencia (4,7).

So, what was that JK MD80 (or maybe it was a 717?) doing at CDG1 Satellite 3 last month?

With the current CDG security chaos, I almost missed my BD to LHR, because I was stuck behind NH pax going to NRT as well as JK pax to MAD...

Maybe a charter, on their homepage they dont have Paris on the routemap

Ah, good old Air Europa... do they still let you smoke on short-haul? They certainly did LHR-MAD in 2000... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Since Nov 99, smoking has been prohibited on ALL domestic flights. Prior to that, smoking was only prohibited on domestic flights of <90 minutes. Haven't flown Air Europa out of Spain, so cannot comment on MAD-LHR.

No *A for this route.
I was in MAD 3 weeks ago and then went to Paris. So I investigated in depth the best way to do MAD-CDG.
If you want *A, use BD, MAD-LHR-CDG.
It took 5H instead of 2 but I did not mind the extra point http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
If you are looking for a 1 way ticket (this was my case), you'll pay thru the nose with LH. BD is the way to go.
If you do not want *A, the cheapest way is Aerolineas of Argentinas. They sell cheap 1 way or return ticket to Paris. CDG-MAD is not cheap though.
If you need more info, please let me know.

Aerolineas Argentinas has a daily Buenos Aires - Madrid flight. On days 1,3,5 and 6, the 747 goes on to CDG, and the other three days to LGW.

Aerolineas has 5th freedom rights and are eager to fill the plane. Thus, MAD-CDG is being offered in Spain for only 99 euros one-way (170 return). For MAD-LGW, the fares are 59 and 109 euros respectively.

No *miles though.
