Clarification needed on changing times on RTW

No airline change No date change Just time change (for OZ flight). I take it I don't need to reissue. |

My experience from a few CRTW's are that as long as routing remains in place then you're safe. I've had schedule changes on every single trip, none of those reuired more than a phone to my TA and a few keystrokes. I've also altered choice of carrier altered (BKK-SIN, changed from TG to SK), with success and nothing more than a phone call.
I've never changed routing, but on my last trip I had to hurry home from BNE and did BNE-SIN-(sleepover in terminal hotel)-SIN-CGK-SIN-KUL-SIN-(sleepover in terminal hotel)-LHR in one go (6 hrs sleep each time in terminal, otherwise turning back in on same a/c as outbuond in CGK and KUL), A comfortable mileagerun to avoid papaerwork http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif |
I showed up at BCN on Tuesday morning with a CRTW2 with the routing ...BCN-WAW-TXL.... I had missed the BCN-WAW the night before, and therefore asked LH to get me the fastest way to TXL.
They took the BCN-WAW segment, and gave me a BCN-MUC boarding pass, and a MUC-TXL Boarding pass with the WAW-TXL segment. They stickered that segment and wrote on it "good for MUC-TXL". No extra taxes (I suppose it would have been more expensive because of the MUC connection)and no US$ 75. Generally they try not to reissue at airports if they can avoid it, because of the nightmare of tax recalculation and the long lines behind you. |
