Star Airline Comp OW Status (not UA)
 

I am looking to see if there is another airline is STAR to comp Status. I am looking to fly internationally on Star again... (Singapore or UA..) and would like to see if my Platnium status and flying paterns with OW will get me STAR GOLD etc?

I know I am asking a dumb question... but look for any assistance.. thanks!

I think you'll have the best luck contacting a *A carrier in your area. From reading these boards, it's not a common occurence but possible, perhaps if you write to a *A carrier (ie AC, UA) a carrier which flies to LAX, etc your area, you'll have better odds, clearly write in your letter to the mileage area of the carrier that you do travel often and that you are looking to move across and fly on their airline. I would also suggest you send a photocopy of your current card and also your last 12 months of mileage statements, this should help at least making a decision that much easier for the *A carrier.

Try MX, UA and AC.
