*A Confirms "Business as Usual" at AC
 

AC's filing for protection under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) will allow it to restructure while remaining a full, participating member of *A.

AC will continue to offer the comprehensive benefits it provides to customers through the alliance, including frequent flyer benefits, lounge access and the convenience of the most comprehensive global route network.

Protection under CCAA will facilitate operational, commercial, financial and corporate restructuring at Air Canada. The proceeding is intended to help the company become stronger financially. Aircraft maintenance and flight safety will remain the number one priority. Passengers will continue to be able to accrue and redeem frequent flyer mileage on AC flights.
