NRT terminal transfer
I'm flying in on UA and out on NH. Both international flights. Is there an airside bus transfer, or will I have to go through customs?
Yes there is an airsidebus. Runs about every twenty min.. Requires a ticket. It is an *A bus. Check with UA for particulars. Departs from Gate 28 UA side, not sure of the Gate on ANA side.

I think there are three stops for the bus at Terminal 1 (UA), one at each of the satellite gate pods, and only one at Terminal 2 (NH), in the center of the terminal. The driver doesn't speak English so don't bother talking to him. Things are fairly well marked. You will go through security again when you arrive in Terminal 2 (which, BTW, is much nicer than Terminal 1).

THis bus also does not start running until something like 7:30 or 8 - it seems really late - in any case I sat for 90 minutes once
What if you are connecting to a non-*A carrier out of Terminal 2? Can you take the *A bus if you are arriving on UA? Will UA transfer desk give you a ticket? Is there another shuttle bus for other paxs?
Oops, the bus I mentioned above is for all pax, not just *A. Sorry, I missed the *A reference in the earlier message.
