Only AC/AN/NH/UA/SQ -- amazed that it's not the smallest number here!

Next year I'm hoping to add several more, though, with my first RTW.

I've managed seven (and yes, I liked the movie too!)

From most frequent to least frequent:
NZ
UA
BD
SQ
OS
TG
SK

Was poised to fly AN earlier this year but...

Does the old Ansett New Zealand count? (No, I thought not.) Can't wait to try out my chopstick skills on NH - see you there Rudi, let's spread the embarrassment around!

Three this year alone: United, ANA, and British Midland. Long before Star Alliance, SAS twice. Want to get to biz or (one can always dream) first on SQ this year.

Shareholder,

you are right there was a "fly-all-carriers" star alliance promotion some years ago, you could earn 100.000 bonus miles on top in case you flew with all airlines within a certain timefrime. At that time, * was a little smaller than it is today (:

Just wondering : since Lauda, Tyrolean and Austrian share the same "OS" code, for the rules of this thread, can they be considered as a single airline, and if so, ual_traveler only needs to plan a trip to Vienna to be our winner here.

I need to get out of my habit of driving to/from Vienna from the likes of Prague and Innsbruck. It is one of the few cities in Europe where I have never been to the airport.

I don't think so. All Star Alliance material refers to Lauda, Tyrolean and Austrian as seperate airlines. Unlike with, say, Augsburg Airlines or the UAX carriers which are regarded as subs of mainline carriers.

Maybe we should draft some "official" rules for this thread! For instance, did the airline have to be part of Star Alliance at the time of the flight?

Just four here.

AC
LH
MX
UA (1966 & 1998) no improvement in 28 years!

Mexicana was the surprise, it was terrific, the F.A.'s really try, and the food was terrific this past spring (three helpings of scalloped potatos). Lufthansa in First, what more can you say, on my most recent trip the venison ranked as close to my top meal of all time, surpased only by salmon from Alaska, trout from Great Slave Lake, and rainbow from Pickering Nuclear plant.
