RTW start date

I want tobuy a *RTW from South Africa to get the low fares. However,I want part of the trip to be in August 2003.

Can I buy now, but have first leg start from JNB start after 1st Sept 2002?

validity of the ticket is exactly 12 months (starting date = buying date).

But you can start making reservations before buying.

But you cannot generally confirm space until 350 days prior to a given flight since res systems don't book a full year out.

* 365 days for LH, OS, NG flights

I can reserve my RTW now, but buy later. Which price will apply, now or later?
