Another RTW ?
I'm trying to get a RTW First ex Canada. Mileage is between 20 and 29 K. First "Int'l" segment is LAX-NRT on TG. Accoridng to Dorian's chart the fare should be CAD9398. TG is quoting my TA in YVR CAD10159. Is this due to taxes, or am I missing something. I'd be happy to post itin details if necessary.

question: is the first segment ex Canada or the LAX-NRT flight?
If you start the rtw ticket in the US TG will apply prices ex US (not ex Canada). |
No, the first segment is YVR-LAX on AC. In fact, I'm buying a separate SFO-YVR so I can fly up and start my RTW from YVR to take advantage of the cheaper Canadian fares. And I'm using a Vancouver travel agent.

The difference sounds like too much to be explained by taxes. I would recommend having your TA call the airline and get the breakdown on the fare calculation. She may not have to do it as it should already be stored in your record.

in Switzerland the Star-rtw prices were increased in late may/early june 2001 - may be the canadian prices in dorian's comparison sheet are not updated yet?

The current ex-CA fare for First Class is CAD10159.00. TG was right.
Cheapest Star RTW is now from Fiji. |
How much is it from fiji?
|
What about J Class starting in Canada, has the RTW price increase as well?
