Jongar, downloading and installing an ".exe" file from an unknown source ???

I would kill any of my employees doing that !

jongar Jun 20, 2001 5:44 am

Its not an unknown source its the star-alliance.com website, but they made a mistake on the website

Just click on the link on the www.staralliance.com website and there is a download available. The next site is

http://194.202.202.58/JourneyPlanner/

but the link http://195.102.0.235/JourneyPlanner/JPInstaller.exe does not work

so type http://195.102.0.235/JourneyPlanner/JPInstall.exe and it does.

For the record I work as on of the two product managers for eTrust Defend at CA so rest assured I checked it very carefully before install

Well.... just went to the *A website and I now understand why it installed itself as a screen-saver.

Can you only do one route at a time? The program runs very slow on my computer.

I use the Star Alliance Electronic Timetable from Goldenware Technologies (same company that does the UA Electronic Timetable), and it's great at putting itineraries together.

Cheers,
Lawrence

This "planner" is not usable to plan a RTW.

The Windows/Palm version is better, but I'm still looking for a tool to caculate the miles for an itinerary.

Any idea ???

The following can be used to closely approximate the total flight miles for a RTW.
