Right Markie, that's what UA said as I called them after posting the Info.
The new prices are a bit higher as the posted prices.

Can you buy an Indian one but have it begin in another country..?

drbala May 25, 2001 7:55 am

No Any RTW ticket bought from the country must originate in that country. You may not end up there by throwing the last coupon off. Try Spain It looks pretty cheap now

That's not quiet correct. The problem is SOTO, that means they will charge you the higher one of both fares. Anyhow throwing away the last coupon is never a problem.

Sweden looks great Got the latest fares if anybody needs them

Welcome to the great country of Sweden http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Yes RTW starting in Sweden are priced pretty good. Also note that the Starlite RTW is avaible ex Sweden.

Markie,

Have you got an itinerary sorted out yet ?

Can you do an around Europe trip before the first intercontinental leg?

drbala May 27, 2001 9:17 am

Starlite available in all classes. How do you fly from London to Stockholm. I see Ryanair offering very cheap fares. They seem to land in another airport Can the Swedish members help ? If I take Ryanair where will they land and what is the best way (and cheapest) to go to main Stockholm airport?

Vunder31 May 27, 2001 9:57 am

When you fly Ryanair, you'll land in Nykoping, 60 miles south of Stockholm, or in Vasteras.

From Nykoping, there are many ways to get to Stockholm central station and then take the airport express to Arlanda (ARN). See http://www.skavsta-air.se/pages_eng/index.htm for transfer info. Bus transfer to ARN costs approx US$17 (one way), train transfer to ARN will cost you $20 (one way).

From Vasteras, take the bus to Stockholm and then take the bus to ARN. See http://www.flygbussarna.com/flygbussarna/en/index.html for more info.

Ryan Air also offers pretty cheap one way fares right? If so you only need to buy a OW and then you could end your RTW in London and save LON-ARN to begin your next RTW with. Quiet often good fares are offered out of STN with SK/BA

Many thanks My Swedish fellow FTs. Greatly appreciate the prompt info. May see you in Sweden as I am definitely buying a starlite

Hmm.. depending on when the flying is planned I could equally be interested. The problem is that this summer is looking so busy. What are RTW prices ex ARN on *A? Hmm... anything ex-VAA or ex-HEL at the same good rates?
