alternate *A program for top tier?
Having reached LH SEN this year, I am seeking my FF objective for next year.
Which *A top tier would you recommend for me in 2001 to try to reach? I am going to have a dozen eco flights in europe, 2 - 4 transatlantic flight segments in C or F and - mainly - 60 LH domestic business flight segments in germany. |
Since you will be a Senator for 2 years, I would look over the comparison chart (see link below).
Remember programs change from year to year and benefits one year may disappear in the next. If you plan on doing a lot of flying in the US (personal or business), then UA is a good bet. AC is my favorite for upgrading discount fares. ------------------ ------------------ BlondeBomber's Star Alliance Gold Comparison Chart 2000: http://members.home.net/deercroft/starall00.html Dorian's Star Alliance RTW Price Chart: http://www.informationlab.com/rtw.htm flyers'places - restaurant, bar & hotel recommendations: http://www.flyersplaces.com |
Might be worth picking up status in another network, say AF for Skyteam or BA/EI/IB/LY for OW.

I don't switch programs at all. My miles with M&M add up very fast and so are those upgrade vouchers http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif.

I am with Bernie on this one.
You would only want status on another carrier if you fly them frequently and the *Gold benefits do not get what you want. |
I think once you have 1-2 top tiers on one alliance, it would be smart to go for status on a competing allinace. If my flying keeps up in 2001, that is what I will be doing. ------------------ Gaucho100K |
