Transfer of Accrued Miles

Possible dumb question:

For miles already flown on LH but credited to UA M+ is is possible to have these "moved" retroactively to LH M&M?

Rudi, Thanks

Given how I've mismanaged my UA/LH accounts this year I'm considering a handle change: is Bonehead already taken?

No, points once credited to a program cannot be moved retroactively.

BTW, there is a questionable loop-hole in that allows mileage credit into both LH and UA accounts if they were UA flights issued on UA (016) ticket stock.

<Corrected the 014 to 016 - Air Canada is 014>

BTW, I thought 016 was UA ticket stock?

Could you provide some more information on this loophole?

FYI, It is possible to "move" previously credited miles from UA M+ to LH M&M. (I flew a few business class segments on LH and SQ recently and they were credited to my UA M+ account.) First you have to write to UA M+ (they need a signature) then they send you a letter acknowledging the change. Then you send this letter, along with the original baording passes and a copy of the ticket, along with a letter explaining the change to LH. This was a pleasant surprise.

Megamiles,
Can you elaborate on this?

Thank you.
