Madagascar!

TK starting service IST-TNR...plenty of award seats in business this summer. Can't wait to take the family to see the lemurs and chameleons. 80,000 one way in TK flatbeds from the US is such a no-brainer!

Good stuff! Thanks for posting, excited to finally be able to use miles to get to TNR!

So I've booked NYC-Barcelona stopover-Madagscar (TNR)-open jaw JNB-NYC. Anyone been to Reunion Island? It's a short flight and only $200 to get there from TNR...

I have a colleague who recently came back from Reunion. He said it's great, but be careful that the ocean is off limits because of the numerous shark attacks.

Go to Reunion as well! We went to Mauritius a couple years ago (main destination) and said, 'sure lets take a 45 min flight to Reunion and check it out'. Turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Stayed on a family farm up in the mountains and hiked the volcano (Piton de la Fournaise). It was one of the most fantastic places I have ever been. Enjoy!

Looked up the TNR flight and it appears to make a stop in MRU. So, new *A flight option to MRU (other than SA).

LH and OS also fly now to MRU during northern winter schedule, but award availibility on TK should be much easier to find. Unfortunately TK has no local traffic rights for the MRU-TNR sector.
