Tell me what it is and I'll tell you if I have used it (or even seen it).
THE WAY to speed through security With Star Alliance new Gold Track priority lanes you can now move through security more smoothly. Available across selected airports and soon to be launched at airports across our network, you can now spend less time queuing and more time shopping, eating or relaxing in one of our lounges. Gold Track is available for all Star Alliance Gold Status holders whether you fly business or economy - or for passengers flying with one of our member airlines with a first class or business class ticket. |
Same in LHR

Sounds like a rebrand of priority security which Star Gold has always had?
At ORD the fastest line is through the Global Services lobby which cuts to the very front of the PreCheck or Premier Access lane. |
It's just new, consistent signage across all airports that Star Alliance has member airlines in. So for UA airports, it's just a new sign for the premier line.
|
Yeah - it is really nothing new. Some people were dooming and glooming, but it appears to not be a change at all.
|
In Chicago it is pretty much the Premier Access line at the UA side in Terminal 1 and 2

Noticed the branding yesterday at LHR as a *G on a Y ticket. As always, the automated gate would not let me through but the individual did - so they've re-branded but not changed the computer programming.

I could have used this in CPH and HEL a month ago where priority access line only worked on SAS Golds.

FWIW
A while back I flew SQ Y through LHR . As a *A Gold I checked in at the Bus counter. Nothing was said about Gold track access. No drama's as the normal security Q was short. Later in the SIN lounge awaiting an onward connection to MEL, I checked out the Gold Track scheme and noted that the *A prog still does not advertise this as a benefit for *A Golds. In retrospect the check in lady could / should have advised me of the benefit . I pointed out to SQ via feedback the fact that the benefits table of SQ Gold does not show priority security clearance under the Gold Track scheme and got the standard cut n paste reply which indicated that they didn't see / understand my point. Although the Gold Track prog is defined under its own header on the *A Benefits / status-benefits page, it is not listed under the Gold status member benefits on SQ's website. OF |
