another Lounge Access question

I have my eye on the following itin. I have *A Silver (which I only mention for completeness since it gets me nothing of interest).

[outbound]
UA Y, ORD-LAX
BR J, LAX-TPE-SIN (depart 1:55 am the next morning)

[inbound]
BR J, SIN-TPE-LAX
UA Y, LAX-ORD

1. Can I use the SQ SilverKris lounge in SIN, on the inbound? *A lounge finder says yes, but SQ website only mentions their own pax.

2. Can I use the *A lounge in LAX, on the inbound? *A lounge access policy says "Customer must be departing from the local airport in International Business Class", which implies NO. Is that correct? If so, OneWorld/AA policy is better where you can access domestic lounge when connecting from int'l J.

3. Can I use the UA lounge in ORD on the outbound?

4. On the outbound, LAX *A lounge isn't going to give me grief with the int'l J flight departing past midnight (1:55 am), right?

1. Check BR website to see what they use;
2. You physically have no access to *A lounge at LAX on your way back. You have no access to United Club either.

3. NO.
4. That's the busiest time for that lounge.

Among all of the lounges you do have access, BR lounges inTPE are the best.

1 is a yes (I misread it before). *G does not get access but Biz pax do.

1/2/3 are all no. For 4 you'll be fine.

If you were on UA metal in biz you'd have access to UClubs along the way but you're not so you do not.

I'm surprised #1 is no, since the *A lounge finder says yes. Is that just SQ being stingy or actually consistent with *A policy?

Assuming the SQ lounge is a *G lounge, you could have accessed it if you had *G. However, since you are "only" flying C, you can only access the lounge where BR has agreements with. Which of course might be SQ's, but the only way to be sure is to ask BR (either at check-in or beforehand).

Searching on the *A website for SIN-TPE, C ticket with BR, and M&M FTL gives me access to the TG lounge and to a contract lounge. Not sure how you searched to get access to the SQ lounge.

Interesting. The *A lounge access policy for int'l C is:

Customers have access to any Star Alliance member carriers' owned Business Class lounges.
I read that as I can use the C lounge of any star alliance member. I guess that means the SQ SilverKris lounge is not considered a C lounge?

I didn't fill in status (since I consider Silver useless), which I assume it treats it as just that - no status. I get:

I do get indeed the same results. Hopefully someone more experienced can shed some light. In any case, BR will probably give you a lounge invitation upon check-in. Try going to the SQ lounge, see if they let you in, if they don't you'll have a fallback :)

I misread #1 before; I was thinking about access on arrival which is not permitted.

If you have a C BP on a *A carrier departing SIN then you do get access to the SQ C lounge there. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks all.

It's disturbing though that the *A lounge finder would indicate access when you don't input any status, but say no when you input a Silver-equivalent status with everything else being the same
