BOS-CDG Using *A
I am trying to get a family member from Boston to Paris in December returning January.
What is the best way to do this? I am finding availability using United miles from to Boston to Dublin to Paris on Aer Lingus but only Business is available and that's 140K miles. Are there any other options? I am seeing a few dates in Coach from Boston to either Frankfurt or Munich to Paris for 60K miles which is better. I know this isn't *A but can't we also use BA Avios on Aer Lingus? Though I know they have even worse availability than United. |

Have you looked at Air Canada thru either Montreal or Toronto?

Actually, if you can find availability, redeeming Avios on Aer Lingus is excellent.
Using UA miles, LH flies to BOS from MUC and FRA. |

or you can fly via EWR on UA. Since this is an overnight flight, I would pick the longest flight on the transatlantic sector. LH should have decent seats to sleep on that flight. Via Dublin might be too short.

Consider going to BRU
1. SN offers flights from IAD/JFK
2. It is 1:30 by train from BRU to Paris Nord (compared to 25-40 minutes from CDG's train station (another 5-10 min. from CDG terminal itself). Also possible LX (BOS-ZRH). |
