UNITED vs Star Alliance
Hi ,
I am planning a flight from europe to US this March and i have ca. 40k A3 miles that i would like to use for an upgrade? May i use these on a UNITED flight?other,better options? Regards |
You would need to check the A3 program rules for Star Alliance Upgrades. They most likely require you to purchase a full fare Coach ticket, which can cost as much as or more than a Business Class ticket.

Regards Here's the link to *A awards in the program benefits page of A3. Basically, if you want to do a *A upgrade award, you need to purchase a full-fare economy ticket. |

Can anyone please check how LH 454 flight to SFO on march 9th looks? Any space opening up in business class so I can use my miles?
How does it look now in KVS? All sold out? Looking to fly back 21st of March with the LH455. Please, I dont have acces to KVS or EF so I need help. Regards |

OP has A3 miles so will have to purchase a full-fare economy ticket (Y/B) to qualify for a *A upgrade award as was advised in linked thread. |
