which airports/airlines will need build new lounges once US Airways leaves?

which airport will need new lounges once US Airways leaves?

For example: I was passing through Charlotte(CLT) and realized that there were only US Airways lounges for Star Alliance Gold. What will LH and UA use in the future? Will they have to build new lounges?

Or is CLT the only?

No need to build any lounges.

UA has a small presense in CLT anyway (I didn't even see any mainline last time I was there, just regionals), so it will just leave with no lounge, UA could care less if a small station loose a lounge or not.

Or they could contract to a US lounge?

It is not uncommon for lounge access to cross alliances.

Also, once US leaves *A, I doubt LH will continue to fly to CLT.

Either that, or LH will at least drop service from either MUC or FRA.

I've only flown LH into CLT twice in the last years. Both times, better than
half of the passengers were connecting to other US cities. How will these
LH flights make it if they don't have US Airways as a partner? Or can
LH and US code-share after the US/AA merger is finalized?

In BOS, AC uses the US Airways lounge. Never did see the UA Club Lounge, but its in a different terminal.

That "lounge" wouldn't be a big loss anyway...

They said they will keep it. They can contract with US to keep access even after the alliance deal is done.

I doubt US cares since they're not part of A++. Also, the last time I flew to CLT was part of a US Air connection FRA -> CLT -> LAX so I'm sure they'll do adjustments to the FRA <-> CLT routes (and FRA <-> PHL routes).

US has the only lounge in BUF. Any change will be an improvement over the existing lounge.....
