The TSA is shockingly bad - Priority Line only until you get to ID checkers when it's just one line. Three machines open, but took about 45 minutes to get through on Saturday evening.
No Pre-Check just keep on shoes and use metal detector.

I had a similar problem getting to a BA EWR flight at Terminal B a couple months ago. Different unconnected gates I think. Indeed, I missed my lounge visit because it took me about an hour to get through security -- no TSA precheck for the BA gates at all. It was bad because I hadn't eaten lunch figuring "I'll get something at a lounge." First, they wouldn't let me into the Art & Lounge due to overcrowding. That was kind of a good thing though because I needed the time to get through security. I thought I could still use a lounge after security, but there was no time. I guess I'll arrive unusually early for my TAP flight to ease the drama.
