Newbie question
My spouse and I both have miles in their MileagePlus and Lifemiles accounts.
Can we book a ticket (using my or her account) but pull miles from respective accounts?
i.e. we have one ticket but miles are pulled from myaccount for my ticket and from her account for her ticket?
Or we have to book 2 seperate tickets; one from each account?
If 2 seperate tickets are only option then we can not leverage companion baggage benefits of Mileageplus club as both are in different ticket?
any suggestion?

No you cannot "pool" miles you will have to book two seperate tickets. If your elite status or credit card entitles you to a free bag then you should be able to show your credentials at check in and get your free bags. Pretty sure..

What OP should do is book with "his" miles for his wife, so that she "looks" like a UA elite in the system.
Then he should book with "her" miles for himself, and then call in UA MP to add his number to the reservation.
